1. Bookings

 

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed once payment has been received.A complimentary meet and greet is required prior to all new bookings to discuss your pet’s routine, medical needs, home access arrangements, and emergency contact information.

 

2. Payments

Payment is required in advance to secure your booking dates. Accepted payment methods will be provided upon booking confirmation.Additional charges may apply for:Additional catsMedication administrationBank holidays or peak periodsExtended travel outside the standard service area

 

3. Cancellations

 

Cancellations made with more than 7 days’ notice will receive a full refund.Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking start date may be charged up to 50% of the booking fee.Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking start date are non-refundable.

 

4. Medication Administration

 

Prescribed oral, topical, and injectable medications can be administered where clear instructions have been provided by the owner and prescribing veterinary practice.Whilst I am a qualified veterinarian, pet sitting services provided through The Vet Sitter do not constitute veterinary treatment or establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship. I am unable to diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or provide specific veterinary advice as part of these services.Owners remain responsible for arranging veterinary care directly with their registered veterinary practice where required.

 

5. Veterinary Emergencies

 

In the event of illness or emergency, reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner immediately using the contact details provided.If urgent veterinary attention is required and the owner cannot be reached, I reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment from the pet’s registered veterinary practice or the nearest appropriate emergency provider.All veterinary fees and associated costs remain the responsibility of the owner.

 

6. Owner Responsibilities

 

Owners agree to provide:Accurate information regarding their pet’s health and behaviourEmergency contact detailsVeterinary practice informationSufficient food, medication, litter, and supplies for the duration of the bookingSafe and secure access to the propertyAny known behavioural concerns, medical conditions, or risks must be disclosed prior to the booking.

 

7. Home Access & Security

 

Keys and access information will be stored securely and handled confidentially.Keys will never be labelled with identifying address information.

 

8. Liability

 

Whilst every reasonable care will be taken, The Vet Sitter cannot be held liable for illness, injury, loss, or death resulting from pre-existing medical conditions, unforeseen events, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.Owners remain responsible for maintaining appropriate pet insurance where applicable.

 

9. Service Refusal

 

The Vet Sitter reserves the right to refuse or terminate services where:

- A pet poses a safety risk

- Information has not been disclosed accurately

- The environment is considered unsafe

- Payment terms have not been met

 

10. Agreement

By confirming a booking, owners acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
